The Fees and Costs of probate are set out below:

  • DIFC Courts - fees are set out in the 'Courts Fee Guide'.
  • Ras Al Khaimah Courts - fees for the enforcement of a Probate Order in Ras Al Khaimah have yet to be determined
  • Land Department transfer fees - Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah Land Department fees for the transfer of property will apply (in the case of the Dubai Land Department these will range from 0.125% to 4% of the value of the property depending on the relatedness of the beneficiary to the deceased)
  • Government and Commercial Entities - other government fees and fees of commercial entities may be charged on the transfer of assets depending on the nature of the assets and the terms under which it was held by the deceased at the time of death.

In addition to the above, the Executor(s) may wish to appoint third party professionals, including lawful attorneys, to assist with the probate proceedings and administration process. Such appointments are at the discretion of the Executor(s) acting in the best interests of the deceased's estate and all beneficiaries named in the Will.
