Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 25 March 2012: The DIFC Courts, the English language, common law judicial system based in Dubai, have issued a draft white paper on issues of enforcement. The report on the practicality of enforcing DIFC Courts’ orders outside of the DIFC in a) Dubai, b) the UAE, c) the region and d) the rest of the world will be reviewed over a period of one month.
The white paper will be uploaded on to the DIFC Courts’ website (www.difccourts.ae) today and the public is invited to send their feedback to the consultation email address (consultation@difccourts.ae) before 4pm 25 April 2012.
Enforcement Judge, Shamlan Al Sawalehi, DIFC Courts said: “We are confident that practitioners with experience of cross jurisdictional enforcements can help to supplement these enforcement guidelines so that they provide definitive commentary regarding the enforcement of decision in the UAE and beyond.”
