Dubai, United Arab Emirates; 28 April 2015: The DIFC Courts this week welcomed a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department as the two organisations work together to deliver legal excellence across the UAE.
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department team was given an in-depth tour and overview of the DIFC Courts by their Chief Executive and Registrar, Mark Beer, OBE, and Deputy Chief Executive and Deputy Registrar, Amna Al Owais. Of particular interest were the DIFC Courts’ electronic system for eRegistry and efiling, and their best practice case file management systems, both of which improve efficiency and reduce costs in the provision of justice. The delegation also met with Judicial Officer Maha Al Mehairi, who is working towards becoming the DIFC Courts’ first female Emirati judge.
The two organisations have pledged to continue collaborating closely to advance the country’s legal framework in line with UAE Vision 2021.
