UPON reviewing the Claimant’s Application Notice CFI 015/2017-1 dated 24 September 2017 seeking to stay the proceedings pending the outcome of a claim filed in Ras Al Khaimah Labour Court (“the Application”)
AND UPON reviewing the Defendant’s response to the Application dated 8 October 2017
AND UPON reading the relevant material in the case file
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:
1.The Claimant’s Application is granted.
2. Claim CFI 015/2017 shall be stayed, pending the outcome of an employment claim currently proceeding in the Ras Al Khaimah Labour Court (reference 28/2017 Arthur Martin Handsel v DDIE) and as defined in the Claimant’s Particulars of Claim.
3. Either party be permitted to apply to the Court for the stay to be lifted, upon the final conclusion of the Employment Claim, such application to be made on notice.
4. Costs in the case.
