UPON reviewing the Claimant’s Application No. CFI-027-2021/2dated 14 March 2021 seeking an order for an extension of time to re-serve the claim form on the First and Second Defendants and an order permitting service upon the First and Second Defendants by way an alternative method, namely, publication (the “Application”)
AND PURSUANT to Rules 9.31, 9.32, 9.33 and 9.36 of the Rules of the DIFC Courts
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:
1. The Application is granted.
2. The timeframe for service of the Claim Form on the First and Second Defendants shall be extended for six months from the date of this Order.
3. The Claimant shall be permitted to serve the Claim Form by publication, once in an English language newspaper and once in an Arabic language newspaper.
4. The Claimant shall file a Certificate of Service along with copies of the English and Arabic newspapers via the eRegistry.
5. Costs shall be costs in the case.
