PRACTICE DIRECTION NO. 2 OF 2023
Temporary Dispensation from 4 August 2023 to 10 August 2023
Citation
This Practice Direction will come into effect on the date of signature. It may be cited as Practice Direction No. 2 of 2023 - Temporary Dispensation from 4 August 2023 to 10 August 2023 and may be abbreviated to PD No. 2 of 2023.
The Temporary Dispensation
1. Where a period specified by the Rules of the DIFC Courts, a judgment, an order or a direction for doing any act at the Registry ends between 4 August 2023 and 10 August 2023 (the “Suspended Period”) that act shall be done on time if done by 4pm on 10 August 2023, unless the Suspended Period is extended.
2. Any claims or applications submitted to the Registry (by way of email and/or in person) during the Suspended Period shall be deemed filed irrespective of whether the applicable filing fee has been paid.
