IN THE JUDICIAL AUTHORITY OF THE DUBAI INTERNATIONAL CENTRE DIFC COURTS
REGISTRAR’S DIRECTION NO 1 OF 2010
Case Management
Citation
This Registrar’s Direction will come into effect on the date of signature. It may be cited as Registrar’s Direction 1 of 2010 — Case Management and may be abbreviated to RD 1/2010.
Application Fees:
Per the Schedule to Part 3 of the Rules of the DIFC Courts, e-mail may be used to communicate with the Registry in relation to any communication concerning case management. However, the Schedule to Part 3 of the Rules of the DIFC Courts also states that a party should not use e-mail to take any step in a claim which requires a fee to be paid for that step. The DIFC Courts accept applications via e-mail at registry@difccourts.ae. However, if an application attracts a fee, the application will not be deemed filed until the fee is paid.
Case Management Conference Allocation:
The DIFC Courts’ Registry endeavours to allocate case management conferences before the first available judge at the first available time for a hearing. Requests for specific judges will not be accepted by the DIFC Courts’ Registry.
Dated this 12th day of August 2010
